Introduction

The production line is designed for the semi-automated assembly of power battery modules and packs, mainly including various processes such as cell loading, DMC scanning and testing, separator bonding, small block stacking and gripping, side cleaning, module pre-stacking, end plate pre-assembly, side plate plasma cleaning and gluing, module in group and side seam welding, side seam welding inspection, liquid cooling plate plasma cleaning and gluing, liquid cooling plate tightening, module heating and holding, module cleaning, DMC scanning/binding and terminal post addressing, module dispensing, CCS and CSC installation, busbar welding, post-welding inspection, manual inspection and cleaning, EOL test, fireproof tape application, On-Off test, weighing and unloading, etc.

Highlights

  • The production line is meticulously designed with flexibility in mind, enabling swift transitions between different product models with minimal manual intervention.
  • Critical stations such as side plate gluing, side seam welding, heating and holding, and busbar welding are fully automated, significantly boosting the efficiency and stability of the assembly process.
  • Module terminal addressing stations and busbar welding stations are integrated with high-speed chain flexible carrier systems, facilitating automatic detection of the relative positions of the cells in group. The data is seamlessly fed back to the welding station, where camera system and welding galvanometer system monitor and compensate for any variations, ensuring the precise welding of cell groups. Consequently, the overall stability of the assembly process is further enhanced with the application of high-speed chains and flexible welding systems.
  • The first implementation of heating and holding test, where modules are transported to a stereoscopic heating warehouse via a lift mechanism. The heating plates employ high-precision plate heater with temperature errors controlled within ±5°C. The side clamping mechanism is controlled by an electro-proportional valve, allowing for rapid model changeover or pressure adjustment with a single operation. Heating data and temperature curves are continuously monitored in real-time and uploaded via MES server, thereby improving the efficiency and stability of the manufacturing process.
