Recently, with the rapid increase of confirmed cases worldwide, many countries have once again raised their level of prevention and control response, and the epidemic situation has once again become severe.

At FHS, alongside the call for epidemic prevention, the assembly call for the LCU production line project destined for Lithuania was also sounded. As one of FHS’s crucial overseas projects, especially under the dual pressure and impact of the international situation and the pandemic, the success of the LCU project would become an outstanding example of the company’s capability to handle extremely complex situations successfully. For this reason, all members of the Lithuanian LCU project have been fully focused. Adhering to the work philosophy of “everyone’s project” and practicing the corporate values of “customer orientation and continuous struggle,” we are determined to expand FHS’s international footprint. We spare no effort, face difficulties head-on, and move forward courageously, striving to maintain the consistent high-quality performance of FHS’s overseas projects.

The first obstacle: Difficulty in shipping

Thanks to the successful experience of the domestic production line of this project, the assembly, debugging, and operation of the overseas production line performed exceptionally well.

After the successful acceptance of the equipment, the Lithuanian LCU project, initially thought to be well-positioned, encountered its first major obstacle due to the political relationship between China and Lithuania—shipping difficulties.

Starting from November last year, the conflict between China and Lithuania intensified, and the diplomatic relations between the two countries were directly downgraded to the level of agency. The level of bilateral trade risk increased. “Our customs clearance usually involved railway transportation. “We have consulted almost all large logistics agents, but when they heard that our trading country is Lithuania, they refused us,” said the customs clearance manager Min Jie helplessly. After finally finding a trustworthy logistics agency, I thought I was one step closer to success. Who knows, what we feared came true. It seems to confirm the previous customs declaration concerns, as one of the containers underwent an unprecedented unpacking and full inspection at customs. “At that time, it was indeed very difficult, and this situation was really rare. ‘ “The belief in customer-oriented values was the only light that kept us going.” Then, all the responsible persons for the project’s customs declaration materials worked overtime, addressing all the inspection issues one by one. Finally, after nearly a month, they passed the customs inspection. At present, the container was on its way to Lithuania.

The second obstacle: Difficulty in obtaining a visa

Solved the shipping issue but got stuck in the second checkpoint while processing the project team’s overseas procedures.

To go overseas, of course, the first step is to have a passport. In response to the epidemic prevention and control call of “preventing internal rebound and external importation,” the China Entry Exit Administration Center has issued a “non-essential, non-urgent, non-processing” passport policy, suspending all personal passport services. The company coordinated and resolved the employee’s passport issue as soon as possible, after close communication with the immigration department and providing a series of supporting documents.

However, a passport was only a prerequisite. After the diplomatic relations between the two countries were directly downgraded to the level of agency, the Lithuanian Embassy in China was closed, and Lithuanian visas became “inaccessible”. Adhering to the corporate values of “customer-oriented, pioneering and innovative” has not stumped FHS people. As long as the mind does not slide, there are always more solutions than difficulties. After multiple interventions and more than a month of channel exploration and information retrieval, we finally learned about the representative country for visa processing in Lithuania through other channels. At this point, visa processing has entered the right track. “Like logistics agencies, we also faced the ‘impossibility’ of all visa companies, but in the end, we did it” . said project PM Gao Ning.

Every obstacle is difficult to pass, but it will always be overcome one by one.

A successful project cannot be achieved without the strong support of all project members. In the face of political issues mixed with the adverse situation of the epidemic, the 7 members of the Lithuanian project team, who persevered through these challenges, are particularly valuable.

On March 12th, electrical engineers Yang Peng and Liu Qing, robot debugging engineer Kang Zhichao, mechanical assembly engineers Mao Debao and He Bing, and electrical assembly engineers Zhai Liantao and Wang Junfeng, resolutely embarked on the journey to Lithuania.

Mao Debao, the Mechanical Assembly Engineer at the Production Center, was the first to sign up for this project. He recalled saying, “After receiving the registration notice, I hesitated a lot. Once out of home country, everything was unpredictable. Were there sufficient medical supplies abroad? Were epidemic prevention and control measures in place? Were foreigners friendly to Chinese people? These questions are hard for us to imagine. But when I thought about the company’s needs, I didn’t have time to think twice and go! And I also took my good friends He Bing, Zhai Liantao, and Wang Junfeng with me!”

The first meal of the team to Lithuania

Electrical engineers and robot debugging engineers can be called the “giant pandas” of all projects. With the addition of Yang Peng, Liu Qing, and Kang Zhichao, they have also given this team a shot in the arm. “At that time, my thoughts were relatively simple. A bachelor like me didn’t have a wife to worry about. I only had my parents, but they have always been very supportive of my work. I also wanted to use this opportunity to contribute to this project and FHS’s overseas territory,” Yang Peng said with a smile.

With complete preparation, our project partners arrived in Lithuania smoothly. At present, the project team has officially entered a combat state and work is being carried out intensively. Not long after, the second batch of project personnel would also rush to the site in Lithuania.

Write at the end

There is no innate fearlessness, only wholehearted courage. In the chaotic and complex situation, there are not only FHS revolutionaries fighting overseas, but also FHS warriors who remain fearless and fearless domestically. They have actively responded to the company’s call, dedicating themselves with high fighting spirit and full passion to the cause we are striving for together. Every FHS person who bravely advances for a project is worth learning from for all of us at FHS.

I believe that with our joint efforts, FHS will eventually live up to expectations and achieve its listing goals as soon as possible, becoming a prestigious global smart manufacturing enterprise!
